The slugs weekend in North Wales

Friday night was warm and balmy and we were able to sit by our tents drinking and chatting, looking forward to seeing the great view of Tryfan from the campsite in the morning. Saturday morning dawned wet! With the cloud low on the mountains, we squeezed into the entrance of Pete and Megs tent and drank tea.

When it dried up after lunch the cloud was still very low so we walked into Capel Curig to visit the cafe and do some shopping. Sunday was a dry day but the cloud still covered the tops so we all opted to walk along the Heather terrace below Tryfan. Lunch was had half way along with a nice view down the valley.

After lunch a wrong turn in the mist saw us return along the valley to the campsite instead of over Bwlch Tryfan to Ogwen. Time for an early tea in the Bethesda chip shop!
