Our Man-on-the-ground Chris Owens suggested a great little walk over the limestone reef knolls of Chrome Hill and Park House Hill, then disappeared off to the Lakes for the weekend. No matter – we had a map with a red line on it and plenty of warm clothes. The latter proving necessary as it was the first really cold spell of the year, but bright and sunny none-the-less.
There were thirteen Slugs and three dogs on the outing, which included a bit of scrambling, a bit of caving (actually that was only Ken – the rest of us in a supporting role!) and finished with tea and crumpets at Bill and Elen’s. |
