A lot of fluctuating intentions for this weekend; so many different Slugs coming then not coming we didn't know if we were coming or going!! In the event no-one was at the campsite (unless some stray Slug turned up hoping to find us, in which case they were disappointed) The final count was just Anne, Ken and Matthew staying in their club hut in Rosthwaite; Howard, who was abducted by his brothers-in-law and stayed in a BnB in Caldbeck; and Richard n Karen who came down to the hut to meet us for Saturday evening (bringing cake and raspberries). Don't think it really counts as a Meet, though five Slugs coming together to eat cake is pretty close! Anyway, it was fantastic weather. On Saturday the Daykins climbed on Raven Crag, with a good walk off the top. Howard and team started at Threlkeld and walked all the way to Grasmere over the tops taking in the Dodds, Helvellyn, and Fairfield en route. Sunday we were all in Buttermere, though not together. Howard (having presumably exhausted his inlaws!) walked five peaks on his own, while the Daykin team climbed on High Crag. A great weekend to be in the Lakes, and hopefully a great weekend for the Slugs that didn't make it.
