It was glorious weather on Saturday and almost as good on Sunday. Nidderdale was looking fantastic, still in its summer colours. On Saturday everybody did their own thing and we all met at Tony and Penny’s after 6pm. There were 14 of us altogether and we sat down to a great meal followed by chocolate cake. After a late night on Saturday it was a slow start on Sunday but Tony did a sterling job of providing cooked breakfast for us all. We all had a pleasant walk over to Pateley Bridge and lunch in the park, with apple cake provided by Rosie and Phil. Post lunch drinks were partaken of in a nearby hostelry. When we got back to Coyte Acres there was more chocolate cake and apple cake provided by Meg and Pete. A very cakey weekend! Thanks to Tony and Penny for feeding us and providing accommodation.
