North Wales 29th/30th June 2013

Usual menu of mixed weather in North Wales. On Saturday the Browning family scrambled up the North ridge of Tryfan while the Daykins climbed the classic Lavaredo on Carreg Alltrem. We reconvened at the campsite for a convivial evening of eating and drinking beer. Then the midges decided it was time for them to dine as well and we retreated to hiding in tents and cars. Sunday dawned very windy, which kept the midges at bay but made for a chilly breakfast. Pete and Meg arrived but the wind stayed. So we drove to Conwy mountain for a scenic picnic followed by a delightful walk in the sun. Even managed an ice cream in Conwy town.
